The Chooky Dancers
Since its Invasion Day, and everywhere is making me angry, I thought I’d post this again, to cheer myself up, and to showcase the talent of indigenous Australians.
The Chooky Dancers are a troupe of Indigenous Australians, who practice traditional and ceremonial dance.
They came up with this awesome combo of traditional and modern dance moves to modern music as a way to warm up and to amuse themselves, but now it’s used to entertain people and as a way to draw more young Aboriginal people to the artform.
And they are hilarious and talented and a joy to watch.
Yes. Good. Amazing.
